Title: Fall vs. Spring: When Should You Book Senior Pictures in The Woodlands? Keywords: When to take senior pictures Class of 2026, The Woodlands senior photography timeline.

Content: One of the most common questions I get from parents of the Class of 2026 is: “When is the best time to take senior photos?”

In The Woodlands, we have two distinct senior seasons, and each has its pros and cons.

Option 1: The Fall (September – November)

  • The Vibe: Golden light, cooler temps (hopefully!), and flannel shirts.
  • Why choose it: You get the photos done early! You can use them for Christmas cards and have them ready for graduation announcements way in advance.
  • The Risk: This is the busiest time of year for photographers. Dates book up 3-4 months in advance.

Option 2: The Spring (March – April)

  • The Vibe: Green grass, blooming trees, and “the finish line” feeling.
  • Why choose it: It celebrates the very end of their high school career. Cap and gown photos are popular during this time.
  • The Risk: Texas heat starts creeping in by May. Plus, “Senioritis” is in full swing, and schedules are packed with prom, finals, and banquets.

My Advice? Don’t wait until May. Whether you choose Fall or Spring, booking early is the only way to guarantee a spot.
